New Haircut

I got my hair cut today and donated it to Locks of Love. It's pretty short. I really like the back.

Here's the front. It's hard to take my own picture. I asked for side swooped bangs, but the stylist said that my hair insists on parting almost in the center and bangs would look funny.

Bill doesn't care for it, but perhaps it will grow on him.

I decided to write Sandy a memo today. I realize it doesn't do any good since she can't read. However, my explaining it to her doesn't seem any more effective, and it might make me feel better.

Memo to Sandy

Re: Sage, the Dog

  1. If you drop food on the floor, the dog will eat it.

  2. If you offer the dog a bite of food, she will take the whole thing.

  3. Once the dog eats the food, it is gone. No amount of crying, screaming, "No! Sage! Mine!" or sticking your hands in her mouth will bring the food back after she has eaten it.

  4. The dog's water dish is not for you to drink out of, bathe in, or fill with dog food.

  5. Please don't pick up the dog's water dish. It is heavy and you will drop it on the tile floor and it will break. Just like the last water dish broke. And the one before that.

well, I think your hair cut is cute and way to go donating to locks of love. I've done that a couple times and Samantha did that this past summer.

Love your memo too. so cute! She'll get a kick out of that when she's older. I don't know about you but it sounds like it's time for a metal or plastic water dish, no?

I think your haircut is really cute. I like it a lot. Tell Bill that it's just the "Sassy side" of you. That's what I tell Jared whenever I go short.

I love the memo to Sandy about Sage (especially about putting her hands in Sage's mouth to get her food back). It reminds me of the list of "Rules" you had for Christian when you used to watch him.

Cute hair. And so much easier with babies.

Good luck with Sandy and the dog. I've told Brian many times that I've spent the past whatever years caring for 6 or 7 helpless children and I don't want to have another one (spelled dog).

Sounds like a stainless steel dish might be worth a try.

I think your haircut is very cute. Giving your hair to locks of love is a wonderful thing to do. About your memo to Sandy. In a few years you will get a good laugh when you look back and remember the things she used to do. She is such a darling busy, dear little one.

I love your hair! the back really is cute! I got my hair cut short like that not long after I got married and I didn't tell Jake so he came home and did a double take at the back of my hair while I was standing in the kitchen doing dishes.

I like your memo, it sounds just like what I would have said to Lilly about my in-laws dog when she was Sandy's age. I might want to make a memo for her now about our current issues, even if she doesn't get it, maybe it will help me feel better.

Hmm, maybe if I illustrate it that will help her remember what each item on the list means. :}
